Heilongjiang Forest Botanical Garden was founded in 1958 and was open in 1988. It was approved as the National Forest Park by Ministry of Forestry in 1992. HLJ Forest Botanical Garden is located in Haping road, Dongli district, Harbin, It lovering an area of 136 hectares it is the most representative botanical garden of temperate frigid zone in the Northeast of china. It's a multiple botanical garden including scientific research and popularity, amusement and tourism. It's the only National Forest Park which is located in urban district.There are 12 specialized gardens inside, such as Living Specimens Garden, Tulip Garden, Medicinal Plants Garden and etc. and more than 1200 kinds of plants which are introduced from Northeast,North China, Northwest and some other countries.It is acclaimed as the show windows and miniature of forest plants in Daxingan, Xiaoxingan and Changbai Mountains. After visiting you'll never forget the enchanting lake in garden, the astounding cliff,the heavy waterfall,the ecological square and the beautiful music fountain. Also there are some ancient landscapes with different architectural styles:Qingyun tower, pavilion, nine dragons wall, longevity hill and etc.
